Made from hung curds and seasoned with garlic, the pungent dip tastes great when spread on bread, bagels, or fresh pita. It has a prominent presence on the breakfast table, in middle eastern households.Preparation Time: 5 minutesMakes 1 cupIngredients2 tsp roasted sesame seeds (til)1 tbsp olive oil3/4 cup fresh thick curds (dahi)1 1/2 tsp grated garlic (lehsun)1 tbsp fresh creamsalt to tasteFor The Garnisha sprig of parsleyFor Servinglavash or pita bread or bagelsMethod1. Pound the sesame seeds and olive oil in a mortar- pestle (khalbatta) to form a coarse paste. Keep aside.2. Combine the curds, garlic, fresh cream, olive oil-sesame paste and salt in a bowl and mix well with help of a whisk till smooth.3. refrigerate for at least 1 hour. 4. Garnish with a sprig of parsley and serve chilled with lavaash or pita bread or bagel.
