In a pot heat water and bring it to a boil. Add white chickpeas, salt and boil for 30-35 mins or until chickpeas are 80% done. Reserve the stock for later use.Directions for Potato Chickpeas Paste Preparation:2. In a glass jar add boiled potato, boiled chickpeas, water and blend it well into paste. Set aside.Directions for Chikar Cholay Preparation:3. In a pot heat oil and add ginger garlic paste. Cook for 30 seconds.4. Add onion paste and cook for 2-3 mins. Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder and mix it well. Add 1/4 cup of water and mix it again.5. Add potato chickpeas paste and mix it well. Add 1/2 cup of water and cook for 2 mins.6. Now add coriander powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, black cardamom, cinnamon sticks and cook for 1-2 mins.7. Now add boiled white chickpeas, yogurt and mix it well.8. Add White chickpeas stock and cover and cook for 15-20 mins or until chickpeas are fully done.9.
