Land of Sriracha - VIP Tour of Huy Fong's Sauce Kingdom | Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef

Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada has been wanting to visit Huy Fong's massive warehouse where they make the very popular Sriracha hot sauce, but every year he's been to LA his schedule has been too busy. This particular time, with the assistance of Huy Fong's management, they were gracious to provide a private tour due to the busy schedule at VidCon 2017.

This place is HUGE! 650,000 sq feet of warehouse, manufacturing and office space but there's good reason for this; pepper season is just 3 months of the year, and they must process all the peppers in this time and keep them stored in 55 gallon drums as a chilli base, to be mixed at a later time into 3 of their different sauces.

As of this video taken in June of 2017, the only thing they did not produce were the green tops; everything else is produced by them. If you have an opportunity to stop by their facility, definatley do that, and pick up something from their Rooster Room. Chef Hiro bought a dozen shirts to be given away but airport bag handlers stole everything on the flight back to Miami.

Try to visit this place if you're in the LA area; it's an eye opening expereience to see where and how your favorite hotsauce is made in a very modern manufacturing setting that can rival any plant in the world.
