Lau Chingri- Durga Puja Special | Chef Ananya Banerjee

Hello! In this video, I have prepared for you all a hot favourite dish of Bengal- Lau Chingri or Prawn- Bottle Gourd Curry! Lau- Chingri is a combination of the sweet bottle gourd and spicy prawns. This is a very simple, and easy to cook recipe, so try it and let me know how you like it in the comments below.

Ingredients-
• 1cup of lau peeled, cubed and boiled
• 1/2 cup small prawns
• 2green chillies
• 1tsp cumin seed
• 1tsp Turmeric powder
• 3tbsp Mustard oil
• Sugar and salt to taste

Recipe-
1. Heat 1 tbsp mustard oil in pan. Apply salt and Turmeric powder to the prawns. Fry the prawns in the oil. Drain and keep aside.
2. Add 1tbsp oil to the remaining oil. Heat the oil. Add cumin seeds, green chillies and cook for 1/2 min.
3. Add the boil lau and saute, well. Add Turmeric powder, sugar and salt to taste. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add the fried prawns and mix well. Add coriander leaves.

And, your delicious Lau Chingri is ready!
