Lemon Broccoli Pasta | Gayathiri's Cookbook

Quick(under 15 minutes) Lemon broccoli Pasta with instant lemon sauce:

This Pasta has become one of our favorite meal. Super quick, yet very satisfying!
The sauce is so clear you’d think you’re having plain pasta and, yet the flavors are fresh and light. You can go heavy on cheese if you want.
You can prepare this with Cauliflower or peas as well.


Ingredients:
Pasta (Any kind)- 2 cups
Broccoli heads-2
Olive oil- 4 tablespoons
Salt-3/4 teaspoon
Sugar-1 teaspoon
Black pepper powder-1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli flakes- 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon zest- 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice- 2 tablespoons
Mixed herbs- 1 teaspoon
Parmesan cheese- 1/3 cup

Directions:
1.Boil a large pot of water with 1 tsp salt. Add 2 cups of pasta(any kind) and cook to al dente(cooked to be firm to the bite)
2.Chop 2 broccoli heads into small florets and cook in hot water until tender crisp.
3.Take a jar. Add 2 tsp lemon zest,2 tbsp lemon juice,5 tbsp olive oil,1/3 cup (30g) parmesan, finely grated,1 tsp mixed dried herbs,1/2 tsp red pepper flakes,1 tsp sugar,3/4 tsp salt,1/2 tsp pepper and 1/2 cup cooked pasta water and shake well.
4.Drain pasta and broccoli, put back into same pot on low flame.
5.Pour Sauce and mix gently. Switch off the flame when cheese starts to melt.
6. Add more cheese on top before serving.
