Is A Low Salt Diet Actually Healthier?

For decades, people have been admonished by their doctors to lower their salt intake.

The reasons seemed clear cut - the more salt you eat, the higher your risk of developing high blood pressure.

As time went on, high salt intake was correlated with stomach cancer, heart attacks, autoimmune conditions, headaches, and many other medical problems.

But now all that's been called into question. The well-respected Cochrane Collaboration and the institute of medicine are now saying that there's no clear benefit to eating a low sodium diet, and that it may actually put some people at risk.

In this video we'll examine the data behind these course changes, and whether or not a low salt diet is actually beneficial.
