If not, try this lip-smacking version and you will be left licking your fingers.MAKAI KA HALWAIngredients1½ cups sweet corn kernels (makai)¼ cup ghee1½ tbsps semolina (rava)1 tbsp gram flour (besan)¼ tsp green cardamom powderA large pinch of saffron ¾ cup sugar¼ cup chopped mixed nuts + for garnishSilver warq for garnish Method1. Put makai in a blender jar and blend to a coarse paste.2. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add semolina and gram flour and sauté till golden brown and fragrant. 3. Add blended paste, mix and sauté for 8-10 minutes or till the mixture turns golden brown. 4. Add 2½ cups hot water, mix, cover and cook for 6-8 minutes.5. Add sugar, mix, cover and cook for 6-8 minutes or till the sugar melts and the mixture thickens.6. Add mixed nuts, mix and continue to cook for 4-5 minutes. Switch the heat off.7. Serve hot garnished with silver warq and mixed nuts.
