Maple Pot De Creme | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A creamy dessert that you must try out to serve your guests in a party.

MAPLE POT DE CRÈME

Ingredients

Maple syrup as required
1 cup fresh cream
¼ cup brown sugar
4 egg yolks
Whipped cream as required
Edible colourful sprinklers as required

Method

1. Heat cream in a non-stick pan. Add ⅔ of brown sugar, mix and cook till it melts.
2. Take egg yolks in a bowl. Add remaining brown sugar and whisk. Add some cream-sugar mixture and whisk well.
3. Add the prepared yolk-cream mixture into remaining cream-sugar mixture, place pan back on heat and whisk well for 30 seconds.
4. Strain the mixture in another bowl. Pour into individual small glass filling ½ of it and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
5. Fill a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle with whipped cream.
6. Pour some maple syrup on top of the set pot de crème and pipe out whipped cream on top. Drizzle some more maple syrup and sprinkle some edible colourful sprinklers on top.
7. Serve chilled.
