Spicy masala beans poriyal (stir fry)

Regular beans poriyal gets a spicy makeover! Fennel seeds and garam masala add an unimaginable twist to the dish making it a must try recipe for all. Pair this with rice and curries like sambar, less spicy kuzhambus, variety rices, etc. or eat it on its own!

You can use a mix of both beans and carrots or just carrots alone in this recipe instead of beans. In place of garam masala, Madras curry powder can also be used to give a different spice touch.

Serves - 4 to 5
Shelf-life: 1 day; Refrigerated - 2 days

Ingredients:
1. Fresh green beans - 500 gms
2. Oil - 1 to 2 tsp
3. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
4. Curry leaves - 1 sprig
5. Onion, small - 1
6. Salt - to taste
7. Garam masala - 1/4 tsp (Check our IGTV for garam masala recipe)
8. Coconut - 1/4 cup
9. Dry red chillies - 3
10. Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
11. Water - 1/2 cup
