Take one freshly made or leftover idli and cut it into 3 pieces2. Do the same with the remaining idli pieces and keep it aside3. Now, heat a pan and add oil4. Once the oil is heated, add mustard seeds and let it splutter5. Now, add curry leaves to the pan, followed by the idli's which were kept aside6. Mix it to make the idlis a little crispy7. Now, turn the flame to low and add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, and salt 8. Coat these idlis with the masalas which have been added9.
