Mawa Modak | Ganesh Chaturthi Special | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

This Ganesh Chaturthi try out this quick and easy modak recipe made using mawa.

MAWA MODAK

Ingredients

2 cups + 1 tbsp (375 grams) khoya/mawa
½ cup (125 grams) sugar
1 tsp liquid glucose
¼ tsp of green cardamom powder
10-12 saffron strands

Method

1. Heat a non-stick pan, add mawa, sugar and mix continuously on a low heat till sugar dissolves completely.
2. Add the liquid glucose, green cardamom powder and saffron, stir continuously on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
3. Transfer the prepared mixture in a plate and set aside to cool.
4. Transfer a generous portion of mixture into a modak mould to form modak.
5. Demould and serve.
