#MeatlessMondays: How to Make a Delicious Vegetarian Meatless Burger // The Spicy Kitchen

Make delicious veggie burgers for your next #MeatlessMonday! This recipe uses healthy quinoa as a protein substitute with delicious mushrooms, marjoram, and oregano to add a hearty flavour and texture.

RECIPE:
Mix 2 parts water and 1 part quinoa in a sauce pan
Boil until water is absorbed and then set aside to cool

Heat oil in a saucepan
Add half a diced onion to heated oil and saute
Add mushrooms (approx 10 sliced) and pecans (1/8 cup) and salt and stir
Add the marjoram and oregano to taste
Cook until mushrooms are tender
Set aside to cool
Beat egg in a bowl and add to the mixture - wait until the mixture is COMPLETELY cool to add the egg so it doesn't scramble!

Heat oil in a sauce pan
Get baking rings
Pour mixture into rings and fry until egg binder is cooked
Serve with your favorite garnishes
