Miggi Pag is prepared by adding muskmelon seeds in sugar syrup and tastes simply delicious. Melon seeds barfi can be prepared anytime or for any religious fast.IngredientsMuskmelon seeds - 100 grams (1 cup)Ghee - 1 tbspSugar - 200 grams (1 cup)DirectionsGetting ready:1.Start making migi pag by cleaning the muskmelon seeds and greasing a plate evenly with some ghee to set the barfi.Making:2.Heat some ghee in a pan and put the melon seeds into it. Fry them on a low flame until turn light brown. If seeds pop out of the pan while frying then cover it with holding the lid in one hand and stir the seeds using a spoon with the other hand. Transfer the roasted melon seeds to a plate. 3.Now make sugar syrup for the paag. For this, take sugar and 1/3 of water than sugar in a pan and place it on flame to simmer until the sugar dissolves completely. Cook the sugar syrup till it reaches one thread consistency.4.Then add muskmelon seeds to the syrup and turn off the flame. Keep stirring the mixture constantly until the sugar syrup cools down and starts becoming thick. Then spread the mixture on the greased plate and keep it aside for 1/2 to 1 hour. Later, cut the barfi into desired chunks.Serving:5.Serve this delectable and crispy muskmelon seeds paag as a dessert after your meals or anytime of the day. SuggestionMuskmelon seeds chikki and paag re two different recipes. For making chikki we caramelize the sugar whereas we prepare sugar syrup for making paag.
