This veggie and flavor packed recipe is perfect for when you want to treat yourself to a restaurant like meal at home.

METHI MATAR MALAI

Ingredients

1 tbsp Tata Sampann Kasuri Methi
1½ cups green peas, blanched
1 cup fresh cream + for drizzling
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 medium tomato, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
Salt to taste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala powder
Freshly chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let them change colour. Add onion and sauté till it turns golden brown in colour.
2. Add tomato and mix well. Cook till it turns pulpy. Add ginger-garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and mix well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
3. Add green peas, garam masala powder and mix well. Add Tata Sampann Kasuri Methi. Mix well, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add fresh cream and mix well. Cook for 1 minute and take it off the heat. Transfer into a serving bowl.
5. Drizzle a little cream on top and garnish with chopped coriander. Serve hot.
