Milagu (pepper) Vadai:

Milagu Vadai is the crunchy version of Urad vada with a peppery taste. This is a traditional offering in Hanuman temple, and it is also known as Anjaneyar vadai in South India.
Devotees offer vadai malai for Anjaneyar on this auspicious day, praying for health and well being.

Ingredients:
Servings: 11 Vadai
Uraddal-3/4 cup
Black pepper-1.5 teaspoon
Salt- As needed
Rice flour- 2 tablespoon
Hot oil-2 tablespoon

Directions:
1. Soak 3/4 cup whole uraddal for 20 minutes. Strain the water completely.
2. Add 1.5 teaspoon black pepper and salt. Grind it into a coarse paste.
3. Add 2 tbsp rice flour and 2 tbsp hot oil. Mix it well.
4. Take a small parchment paper. Brush oil on parchment paper.
5. Place a small portion of the dough..Close the parchment paper.
6. Press it with a flat cup into a fine thin disc. Make a hole at the center.
7. Heat oil on medium flame. Fry those discs until golden brown.

Pepper vada is ready!!!
