Try this flavour-packed Mooli Thepla any time of the day alongside some dahi and achaar.MOOLI THEPLAIngredients1 large radish with greensSalt to taste¼ tsp turmeric powder¾ tsp cumin powder1 tsp coriander powder½ tsp red chilli powder2 tsps sugar2 tsps ginger-green chilli paste¼ tsp carom seeds (ajwain)1¼ cups whole wheat flour¼ cup gram flour (besan)2 tbsps white sesame seeds 1 tbsp yogurt1½ tbsps oil + for cookingPickle for servingYogurt for servingMethod1. Peel and grate the white part of the radish and chop the greens and transfer in a parat.2. Add salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, sugar, ginger- chilli paste, carom seeds and mix well.3. Add whole wheat flour, gram flour, white sesame seeds, yogurt, oil and mix well.4. Knead to soft dough. Cover with a moist muslin cloth and set aside for 10-15 minutes.5. Divide the dough into equal portion and roll into balls.6. Dust some whole wheat flour on the work top, flatten the balls and roll into thin disks.7. Heat a nonstick tawa. Place the prepared thepla and roast for a minute or till the underside is golden brown. 8. Flip and roast on other side for a minute. Drizzle some oil and continue to roast for 30 seconds on each side.9.
