Moong Dal Payasam | Parippu Payasam / Sweet recipe | Indian Mom's Kitchen

Moong Dal Payasam or Parippu Payasam is one of those payasams that we all look forward to having as a dessert after a meal. It is yummy and also easy to make at home. In this video, I have shown how to make Parippu payasam using Coconut milk, Jaggery, fried Cashew nuts, Raisins and Coconut pieces. Do make it for your loved ones at home and I am sure that they will all enjoy it.

Ingredients: (In the order of instructions)
2 tsp Ghee
1/4 cup Coconut pieces (Optional)
1/4 cup Cashew nuts
1/4 cup Raisins
1 cup Moong dal
3 cups water
A pinch of Salt
1 cup grated Jaggery
1/2 tsp Jeera/Cumin powder
1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
2 cups thin Coconut milk
1 cup thick Coconut milk
