Moong Dal Water

Preparation Time: 1 minutes.
Cooking Time: 10 minutes.
Makes ¾ cup.

2 tbsp yellow moong dal (split yellow gram)

1. Combine the moong dal and ½ cup of water in a pressure cooker and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
2. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
3. Add another ½ cup of water and blend in a mixer till smooth.
4. Strain the cooked dal mixture using a strainer.
Serve lukewarm.

VARIATION: MASOOR DAL WATER
Two tbsp of masoor dal (split red lentil) can be used instead of moong dal as a variation.
