MORU CURRY

Ingredients

2 cups yogurt (moru), beaten
1 cup of fresh scrapped coconut
1 tsp cumin powder
½ tsp turmeric
1 clove of garlic
2-3 green chillies
Salt to taste
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
5-6 fenugreek seeds
1 tsp red chilli flakes
5-6 curry leaves
Red rice to serve

Method

1. In a blender, add coconut, cumin powder, turmeric, garlic, green chillies, and add sufficient water to make a smooth paste.
2. In a bowl, add the prepared paste and yogurt, mix well. Add salt and mix well.
3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard and fenugreek seeds and let the seeds crackle.
4. Add red chilli flakes and curry leaves, immediately add the yogurt mix and mix well.
5. Cook on low flame till it starts slightly steaming. Take it off the flame.
6. Serve hot with red rice.
