Learn how to make मुगाची आमटी - Mugachi Amti recipe from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani Karwar Special.Mugachi Amti is a quick and easy Maharashtrian dal where sprouted moong dal is cooked in delicious masala paste and served with rice.Ingredients:For Masala Paste:1 tbsp Oil1/2 Cup Grated coconut2 tbsp Coriander Seeds7-8 Dry Red Chillies250 gms Sprouted Moong1 tbsp Oil1 Green Chilli1 tsp Mustard Seeds15-20 Curry Leaves1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder1/4 tsp AsafeotidaSalt to tasteWaterMethod:- To make the masala paste in a pan heat some oil.- Add grated coconut, coriander seeds, dry red chillies. Saute everything for a minute.- Let it cool down for some time and then grind it into a smooth paste. Keep this paste aside till further use.- To make the amti, in a large sauce pan heat some oil.- Add green chilli, mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafeotida and turmeric powder. Mix everything well.- Then add sprouted moong dal and salt. Give a stir. Add little water and cover it with a lid.
