Noodles MADE OUT of Fish Meat! | 夏波波Brian

Join us to try one of the most creative and genius inventions Southern China has to offer! Today we adventure into YuMiFeng, one of the only restauarnts in Guangzhou to serve this bowls of deliciousnes!!
Brian will take us through:
1. Fish Noodles: 100% made out of knife minced fish fillet, pinch of salt and a lot of KungFu punches. Ideal for fish and noodle lovers they combine the shape and build of noodles and the lean nutrition and flavour of fish. Packed with fatty acids and good oils, soaked in fish broth and topped with coriander and fresh tomato they are a great replacement for your regular morning scrambled eggs on toast!

2. Fish Meatballs: Technically it would be more like a Fish Bundle, they use the same dough used for the fish noodles described above but they cut it into big triangles, which are used to wrap minced pork and fish meat creating some sort of all-meat-dumpling that is only cooked by the soup's heat when plated. Extremely juicy, full of protein and with no additives. Also very important to repeat it's not fishy at all so go ahead and take your date here! Romantic AF

3.Braised Cuttlefish: Chunky bits of tender cuttlefish, braised in aromatic soy sauce, rice wine and a pinch of brown sugar, served with chunks of radish boiled in the same solution. This one goes a step further into the seafood flavour but still quite mild on the fishy spectrum. It is also believed by locals that cuttlefish helps loosing weight by filling you up without having much caloric content. An even better reason to bring your date here!

4. Fish Cake: As explained in the video, this is only knife minced fish meat, pinch of salt, spring onion and a lot of hitting the dough binds the patties together which are then quickly pan seared and served to order. Pure protein and good fats!

5. Fish Keaweed: Really hard to explain, but I'm gonna try my best. This is an extremely well bonded set of 3 layers shaped as a square, from the green side we have a layer of seaweed, very similar to the japanese nori used in sushi, then we have a layer of the same fish dough we already mentioned, and then a layer of sesame seeds. I almost wish they would sell that dry and in a bag at the convenience store. I swear to god it would be super popular!

Anyways, this place is called YuMiFeng, and they have at least 2 stores in Guangzhou. I can provide with address and contact details in private.
