This can be made plain or flavored with ajwain/omam or garlic. The ones that made with Omam/Ajwain is called "Omapodi" which is a main ingredient in South Indian mixture.Ingredients:Gramflour- 1 cupRice flour- 1 cupButter- 1 tbspSalt- As neededAjwain/Omam- 1 tspOil- For fryingCashews- For garnishingDirections:1. Mix all ingredients(Gram flour, rice flour, salt,butter and ajwain water).2. Add water little by little to form a smooth dough.3. Heat oil in a kadai. Put omapodi disc in sev maker.Take a portion of the dough and place it inside the sev maker.4.Press the sev maker by directly keeping it on top of the oil. After 2-3 minutes. gently turn the omapodi with a slotted spoon.5.When the oil stops sizzling, remove it with a slotted spoon.6. Continue this until the batter is over.7.
