Explained In Gujarati, this recipe has the perfect taste to suit any day!OPEN MASALA TOASTIngredients 4 white bread slices2 medium raw bananas, boiled, peeled and grated¼ teaspoon turmeric powder½ teaspoon red chilli powder½ teaspoon garam masala powderSalt to taste 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped1 tablespoon lemon juice1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves1 tablespoon date-tamarind chutney + for toppingButter as requiredOil for shallow-fryingGreen chutney for toppingChaat masala for sprinklingSev for sprinklingFresh coriander leaves for garnishingMethod1. To prepare masala, mix together raw bananas, turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt, green chillies, lemon juice, coriander leaves and 1 tablespoon date-tamarind chutney in a bowl.2. Trim the edges of each bread slice and cut into 4 equal squares. 3. Apply some butter on one side of each bread square and spread some raw banana mixture on top. 4. Heat some oil on a non-stick tawa. Place the bread squares with masala side downwards and toast till golden brown. Flip, drizzle some oil in top and toast till golden brown and crisp from downside. 5. Place the toasted bread squares on a serving platter. Top with some green chutney and date-tamarind chutney. Sprinkle some chaat masala, and sev on top. 6. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
