Our Favourite Rib Rub - Memphis Style #Shorts | Glen And Friends Cooking

This BBQ Grill rib rub is just magical on grilled or BBQ’d pork ribs. It has a rich earthy taste that brings out the best in your ribs.
Yeah we got this spice rub fir ribs recipe from our cousin in Memphis. It is a Memphis style rib rub recipe for making Memphis style ribs.
Yeah it may not be the same as your ‘Memphis rib rub’… Everyone puts their own twist on a recipe; that’s the great thing about making it yourself.

Ingredients:
1 cup (250 mL) coarse salt
½ cup (125 mL) firmly packed brown sugar
¼ cup (125 mL) sweet paprika
3 Tbsp (45 mL) hot mustard powder
2 Tbsp (30 mL) cracked black pepper
2 Tbsp (30 mL) granulated garlic
1 Tbsp (15 mL) granulated onion, or powder
2 tsp (10 mL) dried thyme
2 tsp (10 mL) dried oregano
2 tsp (1o mL) dried marjoram
2 tsp (10 mL) curry powder
2 tsp (10 mL) ground celery seed
1 tsp (5 mL) cayenne pepper

Method:
Mix all the ingredients together.
Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 3 months.
(but it won’t last that long because you’ll use it all first)
Makes about 2½ cups.
