Multigrain bread slices loaded with garlic butter and basil leaves roasted in oven.

OVEN ROASTED GARLIC BREAD

Ingredients

2 big garlic pods
4 multigrain breads
2 tablespoons olive oil
Black pepper powder for sprinkling
Salt to taste
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
5-7 fresh basil leaves + for garnishing

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
2. Arrange the slices on the baking tray, slice garlic and place on the same tray.
3. Drizzle some olive oil over the bread and garlic, sprinkle pepper and salt over the garlic.
4. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.
5. Mash roasted garlic with fork and transfer into a bowl.
6. Add butter to the bowl alongwith pepper powder and mixed herbs. Tear basil leaves and add to the bowl.
7. Apply the prepared butter over the toasted slices, place on the baking tray and bake for more 5 minutes.
8. Garnish with basil leaf and serve hot.
