Pancharatna dal also known as panchmel dal is a classic North Indian dish prepared with 5 kinds of lentils/dal.

✎ INGREDIENTS:

Toor Daal (Split red gram) - 1/4 cup
Green Split Moong Daal (Split green gram) - 1/4 cup
Small Yellow Moong Daal (Split yellow gram) - 1/4 cup
Chana Daal (Split bengal gram) - 1/4 cup
Urad Daal (Split black gram) - 2 tbsp
Salt To Taste
Oil - 1 tbsp
Ghee - 1/2 tbsp
Bay Leaf - 1
Dry Red Chilli - 1-2 broken
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Cloves - 4-5
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1 medium finely chopped
Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Green Chillies - 1-2 finely chopped
Tomato - 1 large fine chopped
Coriander Powder - 2tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Water - 3-4 cups
Lime/Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Some Fresh Coriander

For Seasoning:
Ghee - 1-2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder To Taste
