Paneer Lasooni Methi | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

PANEER LASOONI METHI

Ingredients

1 cup yogurt
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
¾ tablespoon garam masala
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon crushed black pepper
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon gram flour
2 teaspoon lime juice
½ cup fresh cream
Pinch of saffron, soaked in milk
100 grams paneer, cut in cubes
1 tablespoon oil
1½ teaspoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
1 cup onion paste
1 small bunch methi leaves

Method

1. Mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, crushed black pepper, salt, gram flour, lime juice, fresh cream and pinch of saffron in a bowl.
2. Add paneer to the prepared batter, mix well and set aside.
3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, garlic and onion paste. Sauté till garlic is fragrant and onion turns light brown.
4. Add methi leaves and stir well. Add salt and mix.
5. Pour in the paneer mixture, stir and mix well. Add some water and mix.
6. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes or till done.
7. Serve warm.
