Panipuri is a common street snack in several regions of the Indian subcontinent. In East India, it is known as Phuchhka while in North India, it is called Golgappa, In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana its is called as Pani Puri While in Odisha it is known as GupChup . However, eating a pani puri requires much attention and no small amount of skill: poke a hole on the surface of the puri with your forefinger, load it up with your chosen filling – such as mashed potato, healthy sprouts, finely chopped onions or mushy peas – and then dunk the whole thing into water then pop it in your mouth.
It's quite tasty and flavourful. Puri's are deep fried so not so healthy but once in a while treat doesnt hurt any one :)
Either dip the stuffed puri in a bowl of pani or pour some pani inside it using a spoon or a ladle. You can use more than one type of pani. The common choice is to use the sweet chutney along with another kind of pani. Eat it immediately otherwise it gets soggy. The flavour of masalas included making it a bit tangy and sweet together with the chutney over the crispy top. Mostly famous in the northern part of India, Haryana known as Gol Gappa, add the flavour as much as you want if you want it in a spicy or plain tangy.
