Pav Bhaji (Mumbai Street Style)/पाव भाजी | Indian Mom's Kitchen

Mouth watering, street style Pav Bhaji can easily be prepared at home. Let me show how to go about preparing this famous Street food for everyone at home to enjoy.

Ingredients:

4 boiled Potatoes
1/2 cup boiled Peas
1/4 cup chopped Capsicum
2 chopped Green Chillies
2 chopped Tomatoes
2 finely chopped Onions
2 tbsp Kasuri methi
6 tbsp Butter
2 tbsp Pav Bhaji masala
2 tbsp Oil
2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli powder
Juice of 1 Lemon
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves
Pav as required

Method:
-- Heat pan and saute Capsicum and Green Chillies.
-- Add Peas, mashed Potatoes, Tomatoes, Kasuri methi, Salt and cook for 3-4 minutes.
-- Add 2 tbsp Butter, 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli powder, 1 tbsp Pav Bhaji masala and combine well.
-- Mash everything together for 3-4 minutes.
-- Remove from heat and keep aside.
-- Heat 2 tbsp Oil and 2 tbsp of Butter in a pan.
-- Add chopped Onions, Kasuri methi, 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli powder, 1 tbsp Pav Bhaji masala, Salt and cook till Onions are done.
-- Put in the Potato mixture and mix well.
-- Add 2 cups of water, Lemon juice, Coriander leaves and cook till the Bhaji has thickened.

For Pav:
-- In a pan heat Butter, a pinch of Pav Bhaji masala and Coriander leaves and toast the Pav in this Butter mixture.
-- Serve Pav Bhaji piping hot with a dollop of Butter.
