Pear Salad | Pear Pairings | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Pear Salad is an nutritious, healthy salad with a flavourful twist. Refreshing and a dish that cleanses your palette, this dish is a must-try.

PEAR SALAD

Ingredients

For one portion
1 medium USA Pear
5-6 cherry tomatoes
Few romaine lettuce leaves
Few iceberg lettuce leaves
8-10 baby spinach leaves
3 tbsps fresh pomegranate pearls
4-5 red radish slices
Walnuts for topping
Feta cheese for topping
Dressing
½ tbsp mustard paste
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1 tbsp wine vinegar
1½ tbsps extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp honey

Method

1. To prepare dressing, mix together mustard paste, salt, crushed peppercorns, wine vinegar, olive oil and honey in a bowl.
2. Halve cherry tomatoes.
3. Put romaine lettuce leaves in a bowl. Add torn iceberg lettuce leaves, baby spinach leaves, halved cherry tomatoes and pomegranate pearls.
4. Deseed and chop USA Pear, add to bowl and mix. Pour ¾ of dressing and mix well.
5. Put the salad mixture in a serving bowl. Put radish slices, some walnuts, feta cheese and drizzle remaining dressing on top.
6. Serve immediately.
