A great snack when you're craving something fried!PERI PERI SWEET POTATO TIKKIIngredients3-4 medium sweet potatoes, boiled, peeled and grated1½ tbsps peri peri spice mix + to sprinkle2 tbsps oil1 medium onion, chopped2 green chillies, choppedSalt to taste1 tsp onion powder½ tsp garlic powderCrushed black peppercorns to taste2 tbsps chopped fresh parsley + to sprinkle1 tsp lemon juiceDried breadcrumbs for coatingCorn flour slurry as requiredOil for deep fryingTomato ketchup for servingMayonnaise for servingMethod1. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add onion, green chillies, salt and sauté till onions are translucent.2. Take sweet potatoes in a bowl. Add onion powder, garlic powder, crushed black peppercorns, parsley, salt, peri peri spice mix, lemon juice, cooked onion mixture and mix well.3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll into balls. Flatten to make tikkis.4. Add salt and crushed peppercorns to dried breadcrumbs and mix well.5. Dip in corn flour slurry and roll in breadcrumbs.6. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Slide the prepared tikkis in oil and deep fry till golden brown and crisp.7.
