Spread the love! :)Download our App - http://bit.ly/DownloadIndiaFoodNetworkAppIngredients:Oil: 1.5 tablespoon Mustard seeds: 1 teaspoonChana dal: 1 tablespoonUrad dal: ½ tablespoonCumin seeds: ½ tablespoon 1 dried red chilli, choppedChopped green chillies: ½ tablespoonChopped ginger: ½ tablespoonFew sprigs curry leavesHing dissolved in water¼ cup moong dal, soaked in water for ½ - 1 hour and drained1 cup Samo millet / vrat ke chawal/ kutki, soaked in water for 1 hour and drainedSalt to tasteWater or as required: 2 cups Crushed black pepper: ½ tablespoonGrated coconut: 1/3 cup Coconut chutney for servingMethod of Preparation- In a kadhai, heat oil and crackle mustard seeds. Add dals and cook till browned.- Add cumin seeds, red chillies, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and sauté. Add moong dal and hing water. Mix well. - Add water and bring to boil.- Add millet, salt and mix well. Cover and cook till well done.- Add pepper and coconut. Mix well and allow to cool.- Shape into kozhukattai or roundels. - Grease idli plate and arrange these roundels. Steam for 5 to 7 minutes.- Serve hot with coconut chutney.
