Pilgrim House: Azalea Trail | Christian Has Ideas

This was my first time doing a one-mic recording session out in nature. I wrote a song set in Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka, and I tried to record the song in the park. The shoot was fun; the quality was ... a learning experience.

I release music under the name pilgrim house. You can find it here:

Title: Azalea Trail

Lyrics: Broken path of crumbling stones / Winding pass / All that we've known / The fallen tree needs severing / Just leave it be / Like memory

Flowers bloom so splendidly / Vibrant life paints the ravine / Trees like snakes shed their skin / Leave behind who they have been

Mark the way if you find it

Crest the hollow of winter's shadow
Feel the sunlight, be the dove's flight
The trees tell stories
The rain starts pouring
The ground drinks deeply
My soul is speaking

Textured roots break up the earth / Retrace my steps / For what they're worth / The bearded tree feint in relief / And in between such wandering

Paint it red if you find it

Raindrops sing arrhythmically / Thunder wakes something in me / Glorious the heart set free / Still in awe of all life can be
