Tossed in spicy piri piri mix.PIRI PIRI PAKORASIngredients2-3 medium potatoes with skin Salt to taste1 cup gram flour1 teaspoon red chilli powder¼ teaspoon turmeric powder¼ teaspoon baking sodaOil for deep-frying Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnishing Spice mix1 teaspoon onion powder1 teaspoon garlic powder1 teaspoon paprika½ teaspoon dried oregano1 tablespoon crushed stock cubeA pinch cinnamon powder1 teaspoon red chilli flakesSalt to tasteA pinch powdered sugarMethod1. Thinly slice potatoes into a bowl of water. Add salt, mix and set aside.2. Mix together gram flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and sufficient water to make a thick batter. Add baking soda and mix. 3. To make the spice mix, combine onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, crushed stock cube, cinnamon powder, chilli flakes, salt and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix well.4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.5. Dip the potato slices, one by one, in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.6. Sprinkle the prepared spice mix and mix lightly.7.
