A super quick and super flavourful prawns stir fried with a few spices!

PRAWN FRY

Ingredients

12-15 jumbo prawns, cleaned, deveined and washed
1st marination
Salt to taste
½ tsp Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder
1 lemon wedge
2nd marination
1½ tbsps ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp coriander powder
¼ tsp garam masala powder
A pinch of chaat masala
1 lemon wedge
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
2 tsps semolina (rawa)
2 tsps rice flour
Fry
Oil for shallow frying
Fresh coriander sprig for garnish
To serve
Rice bhakris as required
Onion slices as required
1-2 lemon wedges

Method

1. Take prawns in a large bowl, add salt, turmeric powder and squeeze the juice of lemon and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 5-10 minutes.
2. Take ginger-garlic paste in another bowl, add red chilli powder, Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala and squeeze the juice of lemon. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
3. Add the prawns into this mixture and rub the marinade well on each prawn. Add semolina and rice flour and mix. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
4. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, add the marinated prawns a few at a time and shallow fry on both sides till golden and slightly crisp.
5. Transfer the prawns on to a serving plate, garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot with rice bhakris, onion slices and lemon wedges.
