Prawn Tempura

PREP TIME: 15 MINUTES
COOK TIME: 5 MINUTES
SERVES: 4-6

INGREDIENTS
100g prawns
1 cup soft flour
4 tbsp corn flour
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 shrimp seasoning cube
1 tbsp salt
1 Egg
100ml soda water
1 cup soft flour, for coating.
300ml vegetable oil

DIRECTION
Peel and deveined the shrimp and wash
Sprinkle with salt, toss and set aside.
Mix flour, corn flour, oregano, smoked paprika, shrimp seasoning and salt together.
Add egg, soda water and whisk into a smooth batter.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
One at a time, dip the shrimp into flour then the flour mixture to coat.
Carefully place a few shrimp at a time in the hot oil and deep- fry for 2minutes until golden brown
Use a slotted spoon to remove from the oil and drain on pepper towel.
Serve hot chill sauce.
