As the name suggests, here's a protein-packed pulao recipe which is absolutely lip-smacking and is all set to fill you up for your next lunch or dinner!Ingredients1 tbsp white sesame seeds4-5 button mushrooms, quartered50 grams soya chunks, soaked and drained150 grams cottage cheese1½ cups Daawat Pulav Basmati Rice 1 tbsp ghee2 green cardamoms2-3 cloves3-4 black peppercorns1 bay leaf1 inch cinnamon stick1 tsp cumin seeds2 medium onions, slicedSalt to taste1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste2 medium tomatoes, sliced2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves1 tsp red chilli powder¼ tsp turmeric powder1½ tbsps paneer masala Fresh coriander sprigs for garnishRaita to serveMethod1. Wash Daawat Pulav Basmati Rice with sufficient water for 2-3 times. Add fresh water, soak for 20-30 minutes and drain.2. Heat ghee in a non-stick deep pan, add green cardamoms, cloves, black peppercorns, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant. 3. Add onions and sauté till they turn golden brown. Add white sesame seeds, salt and ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute. 4. Add tomatoes, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add coriander leaves, mix and cook for 1 minute.5. Add mushrooms, mix and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well. 6. Add soaked soya chunks and mix well. Add paneer masala and mix and cook for 1 minute. 7. Add cottage cheese cubes and gently mix. Drain and add soaked rice along with 3 cups water and adjust salt. Mix gently and cook till the mixture comes to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover and cook further for 10-12 minutes. 8. Switch the heat off, transfer the rice on a serving plate and garnish with coriander sprigs and serve hot with raita.
