Pumpkin Ketchup | कद्दू का केचप | How to make Ketchup at Home | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Learn how to make this unique ketchup, made of Pumpkin! Yes, Pumpkin can also be turned into delicious, smooth, sweet, and spicy ketchup!

PUMPKIN KETCHUP

Ingredients

500 grams red pumpkin, peeled, seeded and cut into 1 inch pieces
A pinch of turmeric powder
Salt to taste
A pinch of red chilli powder
White pepper powder to taste
1½ tsps onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp black salt
¼ tsp dried ginger powder
2 tsps sugar
A large pinch of roasted cumin powder
1 tsp oil
1 tsp vinegar

Method

1. Heat a nonstick pan. Add pumpkin, 1½ cups water, turmeric powder and cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes.
2. Allow to cool and transfer in a blender jar. Grind to a fine paste.
3. Heat a shallow nonstick pan. Transfer the prepared puree, add salt, red chilli powder, white pepper powder, onion powder, garlic powder, black salt, dried ginger powder, sugar and mix well.
4. Cook on medium heat for 5-6 minutes or until the mixture is thick.
5. Add roasted cumin powder, oil, vinegar and mix well.
6. Allow to cool and store in airtight container.
7. Use as required.
