Rabri Malai Roll | Chef Ananya Banerjee

We have all heard of rabri malai roll but bread malai roll is a very unusual Indian sweet dish i know. I have intentionally picked this recipe for this Wednesday because this is one quick and easy dish which can be made with very few ingredients from our pantry compared to the traditional one. With the limited supply due to lockdown, this is exactly the kind of recipe you need so that you do not need to miss having your favorite sweet dish.
Malai roll are usually made of out chenna but we are substituting it with bread in this recipe and preparing an easy version of the traditional Bengali sweets with just a handful of ingredients readily available in any pantry

Ingredients:
1 tbsp butter
1 cup milk
2 cups milk powder
3 tbsp condensed milk
½ tbsp cardamom powder
4-5 slices of bread

Method:
For the filling –
Add 1 tbsp butter, 1 cup milk, 1 cup milk powder, 3 tbsp condensed milk, ¼ tbsp cardamom powder
Mix well, stir till the consistency gets thicker. Filling is ready
Process for making the rabri - ¼ tbsp cardamom powder, ¼ cup milk powder, add saffron(optional), take 4-5 bread slices and roll them and cut edges, add the prepared filling, and pour Rabri on the roll
