Ragda Pattice/रगड़ा पेटिस | Indian Mom's Kitchen

Ragda Pattice is a popular street food of India found in every nook and corner of Mumbai. This chaat recipe is made using white peas curry also known as Ragda and Pattice made of boiled Potatoes. You can easily make this Chaat recipe at home by following the instructions given in this Ragda Pattice video.

Ingredients:
3 boiled Potatoes
250 gms White Vatana (Peas)
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1+3 tsp Ginger, Garlic & Chilli crush (1 inch Ginger, 6 Cloves Garlic & 8-9 Chillies)
1 chopped Onion
1 tbsp Cumin powder
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1 tbsp Red Chilli powder
1 tsp Cornflour
1 cup Sev
Juice of 1 Lemon
Coriander leaves
Green chutney
Imli chutney

Method:
-- Soak Vatana for 6-8 hours and cook till soft.
-- Mix together mashed boiled Potatoes, Coriander leaves, Turmeric, Salt and Cornflour.
-- Shape into Pattice and keep aside.
-- In a pan heat Oil and add Ginger, Garlic & Chilli crush, chopped Onions, Salt and Turmeric.
-- Once Onions become soft add Cumin, Coriander and Red Chilli powder.
-- Add the cooked Vatana, put in some Coriander leaves, Lime juice and pour water and cook till the gravy thickens.
-- In a pan shallow fry the prepared Pattice till golden brown on both sides.
-- Once done put the Pattice in a serving dish and pour piping hot Ragda over it.
-- Serve hot with Green chutney, Imli chutney, chopped Onions, some Coriander leaves and Sev.
