Dal Dhokli is a traditional Gujarati dish. Simple and easy to cook Dal dhokli is a perfect combination of spiced whole wheat flour dhoklis simmered in dal. Dal dhokli has a mild sweet and spicy flavor. Dal dhokli also makes a delightful meal. You could also serve it with rice to make it all the more tasty and wholesome. It is a Sunday morning delight in most traditional Gujarati households.

Ingredients

200 gm soaked toor dal
150 gm wheat flour
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon jaggery
1 spoon coriander leaves
1 ½ tablespoon salt
100 gm besan
5-7 chopped garlic
2 teaspoon tamarind pulp
¼ teaspoon Ajwain
1 chopped tomato
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 chopped onion
4 tablespoon ghee
1 red chilly
2 green chilly
¼ spoon hing(Asafoetida)
5-7 curry leaves
1 teaspoon jeera(cumin)
1 teaspoon black mustard
