Kidney beans cooked in spicy freshly ground green masala.RAJMA HARA MASALAIngredients1 cup kidney beans (rajma), boiled½ medium bunch fresh coriander½ medium bunch fresh mint1-2 green chillies1 medium onion, sliced1 tablespoon chopped garlic1 inch ginger, chopped 1 tablespoon oil1 teaspoon cumin seedsPinch of asafoetida1 teaspoon cumin powder1 teaspoon coriander powder½ teaspoon turmeric powder1 teaspoon red chilli powderSalt to taste1 teaspoon garam masala powderMethod1. Grind together fresh coriander, fresh mint and green chillies with some water. Add onion, garlic and ginger and grind to a fine paste.2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant. Add asafoetida and prepared paste, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.3. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix well. Add ½ cup water, mix and bring to boil.4. Add salt and kidney beans, mix, cover and cook for 5-7 minutes.Add garam masala powder, mix, cover and cook for a minute.5.
