The answer to your problem is to make this Rava Idli and Upma Premix in advance and use it whenever required. This Premix can be stored for 1 month at room temperature and hence it is ideal for Bachelors and Students staying away from home. It can also be stored in the Fridge for up to 3 months. Given below is the Idli and Upma Premix recipe with measurements in the order of instructions.

Ingredients:
(Measurements in the order of instructions)
For the Premix:
1/2 cup Oil
2 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tsp Cumin
2 tsp Chana dal
2 tsp Urad dal
Some broken Cashew nuts
2 tbsp chopped Ginger and Green Chillies
Chopped Curry leaves
Chopped Coriander leaves
1/2 Kg Rava (Semolina)
1 tsp Salt

For Idli:
1 cup Premix
1 cup Curd
Again 1/2 cup Curd
1/2 tsp Fruit Salt

For Upma:
2 cups Water
1 tsp Ghee
1 cup Premix
