A simple yet delicious recipe that is very common in Maharashtrian households.
RAWAN PITLE

Ingredients

1 cup gram flour (besan)
¼ cup oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
3-4 green chillies, chopped
10-15 curry leaves
Salt to taste
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
Rice bhakris to serve

Method

1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
2. Add green chillies and curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds. Add onion and salt, mix and cook till golden.
3. Add red chilli powder and sauté for a minute. Add turmeric powder, mix and cook for 1 minute.
4. Add gram flour and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add 2-3 cups water, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add coriander leaves, mix and serve hot with rice bhakri.
