What's the cancer risk of your average vegan out in the real world?

We've got a lot of interventional studies that have put people on whole foods, low fat vegan diets and observed a disappearance of chronic killers like heart disease and diabetes. We've even got reason to think that cancer might be slower to grow or reversible on such diets.

But these studies are really strict about diet, and often demand additional elements like exercise or meditation which could play in.

But what if we just observe your average, cookie-munching, high-fat-diet vegan and see what their risk of developing major diseases is compared to average omnivores.

A new metaanalysis tracking thousands of vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores does just that, and I'll tell you what the results were in this video.
