Enjoy this delicious recipe with your partner and share your experience with us.Ingredients2 ½ cups plain flour1 tsp baking powder1 tsp bicarbonate soda1 tsp salt2 tbsp cocoa powder50 mls red food colouring120g butter2 eggs1 tsp vanilla extract1 cup buttermilk1 tsp white vinegarPinch of saltCream cheese frosting450g cream cheese120g butter1 tsp vanilla extract2 - 2 ½ cups icing sugarMethodIn a bowl add 120g butter, 1 ½ cup castor sugar and blend it nicely.Add 2 eggs and mix it well, add 50 ml red food colouring, 2 tbsp cocoa powder and 1 tsp vanilla extract and blend it.In 2 ½ cups plain flour add 1 tsp baking powder, pinch of salt and sieve it partly into the bowl.Add 1 cup buttermilk and blend it nicely so that there are no lumps in it.Add 1 tsp bicarbonate soda and 1 tsp white vinegar, give it a mix.Pour the batter into the tin and cook it around for 30-40 mins in a preheated oven at 180 degrees.
