6 Responses to The New Paper's article: Food in Cinemas not Halal-Certified?

MUIS released a statement that none of the snack bars are Halal-Certified and The New Paper asked two Muslim cinemagoers about their thoughts on this. We thought that there were many other views that The New Paper missed out and polled our Instagram followers on this.

We polled our Instagram followers on an article: 'Food sold in Cinemas not Halal-Certified: MUIS', after talking about the fact that not all hot dogs are halal in another vlog last week. This issue has cropped up because a cinema goer was informed by a staff at the Cinema if the hot dog at the snack bar is halal. The staff was then reprimanded by the manager for informing this to the customer.

The story is bigger than what TNP has reported and has caused the Muslim community in Singapore to be upset. We hope that this is a better representation of the views of the community and how TNP could better represent views in the future.
