Rosh- Bora or Rosh- Boda is a traditional Bengali dessert which is very easily found in all house- holds. And the best part, it is very simple and unique, it doesn’t have too much sugar, but is crispy in taste. So the next time when you are expecting some guests over for meals, serve the Rosh Bora. Ingredients:
For boda(vada/Dumping)
• ½ cup head dal-soked overnight
• 1tsp sunf or fennel seeds
• 1tsp pepper powder
• Salt to taste
• Mustard oil- to deep fry
For Rosh boda (Jaggery Syrup)
• 1cup Jhola gur(if not available use
water)
• 1cup water

Method:

1. Grind the smoked urad dal to smooth paste. Add the other Ingredients to the batter and mix well till the mixture is light and fluffy

2. Take small portion from the batter and deep fry the vada till slight golden.

3. Add the jhola gur or sugar and water and bring to boil. Prepare a thin syrup.

4. Drop the dumplings in the syrup right away.When both are hot. Let them soak for 30mins before serving.

5. Enjoy the delicious and simple Rosh-Boda
