Give this simple yet yummy Sai Bhaji recipe a try this weekend and share your thought with us.#SaiBhajiRecipe SAI BHAJI RECIPE IN ENGLISH: Ingredients for Gravy: 1/2 cup Split Chickpea 1/2 cup Green gram 2 cup Water 1/2 cup Oil 1 tsp Cumin seeds 1/2 cup Onion (sliced) 1/2 tsp Turmeric 1 cup Tomato 1 cup Potato (cubes) 1 cup Carrots (sliced) 1/2 kg Spinach 2 tsp Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp Red chili powder Salt to taste 2 tsp Mango powder 1 tsp Garam masala 2 cups Water Ingredients for tarka: 1/4 cup Oil 2-3 Whole Red Chili1 tbsp Garlic (Julienne) 1 tbsp Ginger (Julienne) Ingredients for rice: 1 ½ tsp Cumin seeds 1/2 cup Onion 1 cup Rice (soaked)1 & 1/2 cup water Salt to taste 1/4 cup Oil SAI BHAJI METHOD: Directions for gravy: Soak split chickpea, green gram in cold water and set aside for 20 to 30 minutes. In a pan heat oil, add cumin seeds and turmeric powder. Add onion and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on medium low heat until translucent. Then add tomatoes in it and cook for another three minutes. Now add potatoes, carrots and cook for 5 minutes. Add salt, coriander powder, red chili powder and mix well. Add soaked lentils. Now add one cup of water along with spinach and mix well. Cover lid and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes on low heat. Mash spinach, carrots, potatoes with masher or hand blender. Then add garam masala, mango powder and mix it well. Add water depends on your desired consistency. In another pan heat oil, add ginger and garlic. Cook for 1 to 2 minute, your tarka is ready. Add the tarka to the gravy. Directions for Rice: Heat oil in a pan, add cumin and onion. Cook until onion is light brown. Add water and bring it to boil. Add soaked rice and let them cook until rice soak all the water.
