Samosa Chaat

Ingredients for Dough:
All-purpose flour 2 cups
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Water as required

Ingredients for Potato Filling:
Boiled potatoes (mashed) 1/2 kg
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Green coriander (chopped) 1/4 cup
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Shan Chaat Masala 2 tbsp

Ingredients for Green Chutney:
Green coriander 1/2 cup
Mint leaves 1/4 cup
Salt 1/2 tsp / to taste
Green chilies 2-3
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Water as required


Ingredients for Assembling:
Prepared dough
Potato filling
White chickpeas (boiled) 1 cup
Onion (chopped) as required
Tomatoes (chopped) as required
Prepared samosa as required
Yogurt as required
Green chutney as required
Pomegranate as required
Sev as required
Shan Chaat masala as required

Directions for Samosa Preparation:
1. In a bowl add flour, oil, salt, cumin seeds, and water and knead a soft dough. Cover with damp cloth and Rest for 15-20 mins.
Directions for Potato Filling Preparation:
2. In a bowl add potatoes, red chili powder, salt, black pepper powder, red chili flakes, cumin powder, green coriander, lemon juice, Shan Chaat Masala and mash well. Your potato filling is ready.
Directions for Green Chutney Preparation:
3. In a glass jar add coriander, mint leaves, salt, green chilies, cumin seeds, and water and blend well into a smooth paste, your green chutney is ready.
Directions for Assembling:
4. Take the prepared dough and divide it into 8 equal parts.
5. Make dough balls and roll them out into flat circles. Cut into half and make a triangle shape by binding with water. Add potato filling in the center and fold the dough into a triangular shape.
6. Deep fry the samosa until golden brown and crispy. Your samosa is ready.
7. In a bowl add samosa, white chickpeas, onion, tomatoes, yogurt, green chutney, pomegranate, sev, and Shan Chaat Masala.
8. Your Samosa Chaat is ready.
